I am now living in the Black Mountains outside of Soreze France where I have just equipped a new office with my partner Suzanne. I have a new design studio and am just settling in to start the first sailboat design. Details on that as it develops.
For now a non business post. We attended the French premier of the new documentary film "OCEANS" and it was absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend that anyone see this film if offered the chance. The cinematography is stunning and the subject matter unforgettable. This is in my opinion a must see. The director is Jacques Perrin. It is wonderful!!

- I have spent most of the last 40 working years designing and crafting sails and sailboat equipment. During the last 22 years working with Sam Carroll we developed the equipment for and sport of kayak sailing. While running Balogh Sail Designs, we developed a complete product line of sails and rigging hardware to convert kayaks and canoes into sailing craft for recreational or expedition use. These products included the reefable Batwing sails and patented BOSS outrigger system. We have recently sold BSD and I am in the process of starting a new design and consultation company which will specialize in but not be limited to sailing products.
